Our team continues wanting to provide the best experience possible when attending our event. Our mission is to continue having events where everyone can join in on the fun and find some great comics!
Our team is consistently reviewing the New York State health and safety guidelines in accordance with public health recommendations and in collaboration with other event organizers and venue partners. We will continue to update our rules and recommendations for UNYCC as needed.
Make sure to continue checking this page for the most up-to-date guidelines!
HEALTH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK (even with a common cold or flu) or IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS/HAD COVID-19 OR ANY VARIANTS. As much as we would love to see everyone as possible, if you feel ill or have been around someone who has/had COVID-19, asymptomatic individuals could still pass the germs to another thus majorly increasing the risk of spread. We ask you to please skip attending this year.
SAFETY
In addition to maintaining a healthy environment, safety is a top priority while attending our convention. Below are instructions to review while planning to attend our shows. Additionally, please review our ZERO-TOLERANCE HARRASSMENT POLICY & WEAPON POLICY for further information. Everyone attending HCC should be aware that the following rules are in place:
Elks/Venue Security may approach you to assist outside, at entry, or inside Elks
Everyone must wear their designated wristband or badge at all times. This includes exhibitors, vendors, fans (attendees), guests, artists, etc.
Everyone attending UNYCC is requested to
- Keep personal property with you at all times and don’t leave any items unattended
- Lost items can be taken to the admission area inside the lobby of the hotel
- Report anything that looks unusual, suspicious, or just out of place to UNYCC Staff
- Remain patient and courteous with UNYCC Staff and Security undertaking security checks. We want to get you in as quickly as possible, so please be understanding.
- Follow the instructions of UNYCC Staff at all times
- Carry a recognized form of photo ID at all times (of your actual identity, not your secret one)
By attending the Upstate NY Comic Con, it is understood by all that these Health, Safety, and Policies will be followed the duration of the convention.
